Open Quote This school is awful. The education level is way below where I came from and the counselor/placement person did not look at my past records. He refused to place me in the correct classes after my mom called him, and the teachers several times to talk to them and tell them to move up. During the last week of third quarter, my math teacher finally agreed to look over my notes from the previous year, and continued to tell me that I had already taken the course. I am not allowed to move up still because it is too late in the year. Thus, this whole year I have been in the wrong math class. It is the same way with my science class. This school disappoints me greatly. The student life is horrible too. I am a 7-day boarder, and it's awful. The dorm life is filled with drama and the counselors could care less about us. Also, this year they have become very strict on us and have changed many of the rules. They enforced a no dating rule upon the 6-9 grades, even though it was the upperclassmen who caused the problem. They told us that we were like a family and it was considered incest dating. They then went on to tell the boys that they were too young to have girl friends even though we were supposed to be a family. Recently they also enforced a new Ipod rule. We are not allowed to take our Ipods to school, we are not allowed to go to work with them, we are not allowed to walk with them, and we are not allowed to go to sleep with them. The rules are becoming absurd. Tallulah Falls School is a horrible school; they make out to be an academically advanced school that your children will love, when it's not at all what they say it's to be. My parents sent me away to this school so that I could have a smaller environment, because that what the school was known for. Unfortunately the president of the school wants to make it huge. He wants big change, even though the school has been the same way for over 100 years now. I do not recommend you go here or ever look into it. Everyone feels like they are in jail. I would strongly discourage sending your children to Tallulah Falls School. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
