Open Quote Today was my child's first day at this school. She had a wonderful day and is excited to go back tomorrow. She said all of the kids were nice and her teacher was nice too. She did have homework and a study guide for a spelling test Friday. We moved from the South and I expect great things for my child and her education. I hope she remains enthusiastic about returning to this school each day. Close Quote

Open Quote My child attends this school and I am taking my child out immediately because of the lack of teaching and patience. On several occasions, I have had one on one meetings with the teacher and principal to improve the way that students are being taught, but nothing has been DONE. The teachers have their personal issues on their mind than actually teaching the students.Teachers have cliques and favors the students of the administrators that work there. There are no books or proper materials being used. And there isn't any homework being brought home.I do not recommend this school for any child to attend.I urge that this school be investigated. My child's education is important to me and my child will not fail because a teacher has a chip on his/her shoulder and doesn't want to do his/her job properly and professionally, There is one of the reasons that Clayton CCounty lost its accreditation. And this county still hasn't learned its lesson Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
