Open Quote My kids loved this school but due to the fact that my son in VPK was sick so much he missed school alot he was kicked out. So unfair when I sent them doctors notes and they did not even consider it. He was only in VPK! If your child get's sick alot DO NOT GO HERE because they will not enroll them again. When kids get sick it is out of our control. Imagine if my son would of been hospitalized. Taking both of my kids oit Close Quote

Open Quote No curriculum they do a lot of hands on activities. However with no curriculum my sons teacher didn't start phonetics till after halfway point of the year. Kids are allowed to fight with little to no consequences and you may witness this yourself as a volunteer if you still put your kids in that place after reading this. Each student only gets about 20 minutes of personal time and the rest of the time they spend playing in the classroom. This is how the teacher explained it. They spend 20 one on one minutes in each subject they do and activity together usually last between 10 to 15 minutes and the rest of the time they spend playing. There's 25 mandatory volunteer hours per school year. Beware of good reviews they exchange good reviews for up to 3 volunteer hours if I could post the email for you to see I would. Keep your kids out of here they don't even notify you if your kid is hurt by another student and academically they don't keep up. Their ideas are great but they're not being implemented in a constructive and structured way so the children can benefit from them. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
