Open Quote I love this school for my children. It is fantastic. There is an overall feeling of community from the front office to the teachers, parents, administration and students. The curriculum is wonderful. The children have pe and recess, which was important to us since many of the schools in the area no longer have both. My children have excelled at this school. We are very pleased with everything. We are proud to say that our third will attend Edge next year. Close Quote

Open Quote I have three children, two which currently attend Edge and my oldest attended Edge for the past 6 years. The oldest is about to enter middle school and I believe she is extremely prepared for the changes and challenges she is about to encounter, thanks to how she has been taught and to what she has been taught.

The school structure and academic plan has been phenomenal and my girls are on a positive educational road; from general education to computers to the arts, my girls have been involved in every aspect of learning the school has offered. Of course one is better at music then the other, and one is better at math than the other, and on it goes, but the point is, I feel my girls will be prepared to face the middle school challenges when the time comes.

On a daily basis, the entire staff at Edge Elementary play a vital role in my girls preparedness; all the teachers & administrative staff know my girls and always make themselves available to provide an A+ education and to assist them as needed, the food service providers teach my children manners and courtesies, the PE coaches teach them perserverance and present a "can do attitude", the janitorial service providers teach my girls the respect of cleaning up after themselves, and the before/after-care providers reinforce all these activities learned in the day. Each person at Edge brings a critical piece of life-learning to the table and my girls gladly feed their thirsty little minds.

My girls are well cared for, well educated and I can't say anything more than this... Given a choice, my girls wake up ready to go to school versus staying home and doing nothing! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
