Open Quote Gone down hill in the last couple years. Seems like they go through teachers constantly, favoritism seems to be the style at this school. All about who you know, not all kids needs are getting met especially my daughters class , I seen my daughters teacher helper on playground on her phone not even watching the kids, my phone calls haven’t been returned, seems like they loose a lot of good teachers. I’ll be contacting the department of education and getting a advocate for my girl. Don’t seem right what going on there. Close Quote

Open Quote As per my childs 5th grade teacher, " reading was cut out due to time constraints", this is highly unacceptable. The new principal is very "black and white", " by the book". The last principal made an accomodation I needed for medical reasons and the new pricipal said " I cant due that, then everyone else will want it too", newsflash...... not everyone has the same medical condition, and can provided doctors documentation to support it! It took over 6 weeks to get a teacher conference- my all A student was now falling behind due to a 6 week delay in staff/ front office communication! Think twice, I have seen F schools that CARE more! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
