Open Quote It's a great school. But I would like if they are more involved in arts and extra curricular activities. Also my daughter classroom is too big, almost 30 students. But very happy with her academics and the security of the school is impeccable. Close Quote

Open Quote Is amazed at how the office staff, teachers, even the Principal remembers my kids name & says good morning to him everday & its not because he's usually in trouble or an above average student, but just because he's there everyday & they really seem to care & want to get to know each & every kid. I up-rooted my entire family from 3hrs away just so my son could go to this school, with very high expectations entering they have exceeded my expectations. However, being a very young single mom in this very high-class neighborhood definitely has me standing out & easily, instantly judged. The after school YMCA program is outstanding & couldn't ask for a better director, Ms. Doris, love her! My son loves going to school everyday & although he is considered "average," everday his teacher works with him to help encourage him & give him the drive to become "above average" in his reading, writing, and other areas of learning in the most creative ways. BUt most importantly he is safe, they completely lock all doors & exterior openings so that no one is allowed in or out without them knowing about it, which is extremely important to me. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
