Open Quote Horrible school that shelters and protects bullies while punishing the victims for reporting it, because "it's wrong to be a tattletale". Make no mistake, the vast majority of teachers here don't care about your child or their safety. As a former student, when my mother confronted the school and told them that I would be learning how to defend myself since they don't want to do anything about it, they were enraged and told us that I wasn't ALLOWED to defend myself. Disgusting. The school deserves to be closed down, and all teachers sheltering the bullies deserve to never teach again. Worst years of my childhood for sure.
To make an already bad problem worse, they absolutely HATE if your child is ahead of the game in terms of curriculum. Can you believe that in second grade, my mother was told to stop giving me educational material outside of school because I was "TOO SMART"? I can't make this up. A teacher actually told a parent of a student to remove extra education from their child's life, because they were TOO SMART.
I guess that's why their overall scores are so bad these days. It's been years and they clearly haven't changed. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
