Open Quote My son attended Imagine (2009-2011) He really came out of his shell and thrived there as opposed to in Public School. Overall we were both happy with Imagine. Close Quote

Open Quote Wow is School Digger out of date! What a impressive school. Teachers are absolutely amazing, the academic structure at this school is far more impressive than the common core being taught in regular schools. Cambridge schools rock and more importantly Imagine School is the place if you want your child to be highly educated and to be taught to learn not taught how to take a test. Close Quote

Open Quote Teachers do not have good communication skills. My 7th grade child could come home with a "D" on his report card after having an "A" on his interem report and there is no phone call, no e-mail, no request for a parent teacher conference. This school has gotten out of control after the former principal Mr. Cole left last year. Everything is disorganized...EVERYTHING. The administration team does not take pride in their work. They say things will be ready for you to pick up after a week of calling and it isn't. I wasn't the only parent in the front office that day. There were four other parents that were told the same thing. Once I got was I had went there for it was thown together and and I asked if it would suffice. I guess they are to busy to care about doing a good job. Everytime I see the new principal she is too busy chit-chatting and giggling. I wish she would focus on the education of these children and maybe then they could pull up the "F" rating they recieved this year. They received a score of 28% in math on the fcat's. No wonder my child is struggling in math, the whole school is. I don't care how far I have to drive my kid to school, he will never go back to Imagine School at West Melbourne. Close Quote

Open Quote Imagine Schools at West Melbourne used to be great, but during the past year the school has seriously faltered under the new administration. IMAGINE SCHOOLS AT WEST MELBOURNE IS NOW AN "F" RATED SCHOOL! This school is now the lowest rated in all of Brevard County! Your child deserves better! Close Quote

Open Quote Imagine Schools is very unique in that they measure same-student learning gains. No other school in Brevard does this. In other words, your student takes a test in the fall and then again in the spring to see what has been gained in his or her learning. Staff are very caring and work hard to model and support character education. Many people think charter schools may require a parent to pay tuition. There is no additional cost for a child attending except to purchase the school uniform. Wonderful school!! Close Quote

Open Quote Caring, dedicated teachers and staff make the difference in this small, wonderful school! Front office staff are friendly and make you feel welcome with a smile everytime you walk in! They offer elementary sports teams, a wonderful music program, and free FCAT tutoring for anyone who needs it. Students wear uniforms and look like they are ready to learn when they are at school - refreshing! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
