Open Quote This was our first year at Southeast and we will definitely not be coming back. The communication between staff and parents was terrible. And if you weren't part of one of their little "cliques" be prepared to for you AND your child to be ignored. Also expect to pay way more than just your tuition. The students are always (AT LEAST once a month) coming home with some type of "fundraiser" or "school gift" or something you need to give more money to. I'd sure like to know what they do with the several thousand dollars PER STUDENT they get each year that they still need to suck more money out of us. Unfortunately the staff and their attitude, gossiping, and straight-up lack of respect or concern for parents and students made this year horrible. They are the reason Christians get a bad name. We have lived here over 20 years and we chose to ignore all the warnings about this school...should have listened because we could have saved thousands and our child's dignity. If you thinking about going here, don't. Don't waste your time. Don't subject your child to these people. Take your money elsewhere! Trust me. Your kids deserve better! Close Quote

Open Quote We're still feeling the ramifications from our one year at Southeast. My daughter had a hard time with their curriculum which was above grade level. Above grade level is great if your child can handle it, not if they can't. They didn't care that she couldn't! They never offered to help her or offer solutions. Now that she's back in public school she is still struggling whereas she didn't struggle before Southeast. I think these self righteous people have screwed her over for some time to come and they couldn't have cared less. Close Quote

Open Quote Odd...they really are caring but it depends on the situation. My son was doing very poorly and they weren't concerned. No one ever called me, asked me for info about him, or tried to come up w/ alternatives for him. The teacher just said, "Well, if he works harder in class..." So I took control and offered solutions. They rejected all of them. (Who's paying who here?) His OT suggested the same solutions and suddenly they were good ideas!! I don't think the teacher was very experienced and the director was more concerned that no one child was any different than all the others. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
