Open Quote I disdained the four years I went to FVS. Comprised of wealthy boarders, sent there by their parents who could no longer control them or their drug abuse.
The same quality of education or better is available in Colorado Springs at Cheyenne Mountain High School, a public school.
FVS classes were taught by “teachers” with obscure backgrounds and poor academic pedigrees. FVS had a singular, cyclopean focus on placing students in elitist Ivy League Colleges at the expense of developing well-rounded, multi-talented individuals.
FVS would be considered an extremely far left-wing, progressive activist, liberal indoctrination facility. Had to be able to recite, verbatim, from Communist China Chairman Mao Tse-tung’s Little Red Book.
Day-students were considered second-class citizens/students, sent to the rear of the bus academically, socially and athletically. Going there cost me a berth on a National Team as FVS only seeks to glorify itself through national academic test scores with placement of students in elitist colleges. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
