As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Excellent administration and caring teachers. I love how Pine Grove supports students’ social emotional health. I have 3 kids at PGE and have been very happy. Even during this hard year of Covid, the entire staff are doing their best for our children. Close Quote

Open Quote Horrible administration, send your kid elsewhere. Teachers on drugs and a principal half in the bag makes a great environment for a student Close Quote

Open Quote We love Pine Grove and feel fortunate that this is our neighborhood school. Our children have had excellent teachers of the last 4 years. Teachers that truly care about our children and strive to help them be their best as people and students. We can see that the teachers work to adjust the lessons and school work to challenge our children. We would highly recommend this school! Close Quote

Open Quote Not what it used to be. Currently in the process of a change in principle leadership. Many students have been pulled out over the summer and for those of us who returned in the fall of 2016, wow are we surprised by the huge increase in classroom size. Teachers are shuffled around to teach other grades too much, and often not at the advantage of the student because they are being taught down to, or advanced beyond where they are currently ready. Many parents receive 2-3 hours a night in homework (3rd-4th grade) for things rushed in class without fully grasping the concept and parents are not familiar with how to teach the math curriculum. Main focus is on AR reading, not enough elsewhere. Sad to see the decline but we will also be leaving. See the drop in school scoring/ratings for yourself. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
