Open Quote St. Dorothy School is the best kept secret in Glendora. It is a first rate school with a a strong and diverse curriculum that challenges the student to grow intellectually and morally within a nurturing family environment. Your child will get an exceptional education for a lot less than what you think! Close Quote

Open Quote I love the "family" environment of the St. Dorothy. Since it is K-8th, my children really get to grow up in this school surrounded by great teachers and a nurturing environment. Parents are always helping out. It's a true community.

I also love the Prayer Partners program St. Dorothy has. Every grade is paired up (except 4th). It encourages the “family environment.” There is someone to look up to and someone to be responsible for. Close Quote

Open Quote My son is a kindergarten student at St. Dorothy. He is thriving and learning so much. He is extremely happy and loves school and his teachers. My husband and I like their structure and curriculum and we are amazed at how much our son has learned two-thirds of the way through the school year. Academically, the school is very solid. The teachers make sure that the children succeed and always keep the parents informed on the academic and personal growth of the children. St. Dorothy is a great school! Close Quote

Open Quote Amidst a community of great schools it is difficult to compare one over the other. So I will comment only on my experience with St. Dorothy. The school provides a closeness which leads to interactive parent involvement, teacher commitment, student participation, and a checks and balances at every level.
The recent upgrade in technology has benefited the students, enhanced learning, and brought the school up to date in this fast-paced environment. The curriculum boasts not only the required subjects, but offers faith-based Catholic teachings; important when imparting valuable lessons in integrity, honesty, and good character. Close Quote

Open Quote This is a great school with exceptional staff and a caring family oriented environment. Students are well prepared from K-8 for high school and beyond. The school emphasizes academics balanced with extra curricular activities. In addition to a strong curriculum, St. Dorothy School also teaches Spanish, core literature, art, music and physical education. This school also prepares 8th grade students for high school entrance exams. Parents have a great support system with before and after school daycare at a reasonable cost. It is a safe campus environment where students are challenged to learn and care about the world around them. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
