Open Quote Father of two daughters at Northern Light School (1st & 5th Grade). Both of them are reading and writing way above their grade level, learning multiple languages, along with the normal curriculum per grade. They learn not only in the school, but outside on many field trips (including Shanghai). They have access the brand new computers and software provided by Apple. As a parent, I expressed that I want my children challenged and NLS has delivered everytime. This is my sixth year at Northern Light School and each year the school gets better and better.

As a school, they learn daily the importance of peace, compassion, equality, kindness, hard work, and perseverance. They tell their students that they here to make a difference. The school motto is a quote from Muhammad Ali, "Impossible is Nothing", in which the students have thoroughly embraced. To support their motto, the children are often visited by celebrities to speak on how they reached their goals and to encourage the students to do the same. In a nutshell, Northern Light School students graduate with the ability to speak as leaders, in which they use for the rest of their lives.

Open Quote I graduated from northern light last year. When I first found out I would be going there I tried to do anything to get out. I was so blessed that the faculty there cared enough about me and my future that they did not loose faith in my potential. It is a diverse environment and if you want your child to learn how to respect and care for others there is no better place than northern lights. This is a home were all children will feel comfortable to learn, grow, and be themselves with out worrying about bullying. Northern Lights is truly a school that focuses on a well rounded education including music, dance, and acting. Through out my three years at this amazing school I have made friends to last a life time and an education that will propel me through life's challenges. I was skeptical when I first joined the Northern Light Family but with the help and love of the faculty and students I was excepted to one of the top boarding schools in the country with a scholarship and all of my classmates were excepted to private high schools. About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
