As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote As a parent of two children at Parkside, I can confidently say it's a truly exceptional community. Here, every child is not just known but wholeheartedly supported. The teachers' genuine happiness reflects in their dedication, going above and beyond for our kids. The Montessori philosophy instills independence, creating confident, self-reliant learners. The mixed-age classrooms promote diverse learning, from teacher guidance to valuable peer interactions. It's heartwarming to see older kids actively supporting and guiding the younger ones—it truly feels like an extended family here. Close Quote

Open Quote We love Parkside Montessori! My kids have had amazing teachers who really care about the growth and development of the students. The current principal is truly outstanding. He is an excellent communicator, has a clear vision for the school, and leads by example. Through this pandemic, I feel like he has gone above and beyond to reach out to the parent community on a regular basis and keep us informed every step along the way. He never shies away from the tough questions and is transparent in his answers. My kids have both shown an enthusiasm for learning during their time at Parkside and can't wait to get back to the classroom. One of my favorite things about the school is the sense of community...makes me excited to get back to school and see all of the Parkside staff and families as well! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
