Open Quote Not sure how frank I should be, but it has been our 3rd year. 1st year was okay, 2nd year we had a meeting and the principal can’t even pronounce my child’s name and got the appearance that they are out for the scores to look good instead of siding and helping the children, and this school year- we received no letter about the class, only to find out TK, K, and 1st grade is going to under one teacher because there was not enough enrollment. What is going on, I have no idea. I am almost about done. Close Quote

Open Quote Great school with a great principle! Teachers and staff are friendly and partner with parents. No pressure to volunteer but you want to any ways. The school really appreciates any help you can fit into your schedule. Close Quote

Open Quote Richland has great leadership with the current principal. Passionate, dedicated teachers as well as lots of enrichment for the students. The school is small, feels like a private school. Students and parents receive the attention they need and want! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
