As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I am very disappointed in the lack of communication between the Principal and staff. The teachers so far are great and my kids love their teachers however, when it comes to communication with the principal is where I am more than upset. I contacted the principal of Eden Gardens via email letting him know that my daughter had lice. My point in contacting the principal was so that he could communicate this with staff so that they can pass the message along to all parents letting them know to check for lice on their children's heads. Well apparently this message never got to the staff and so yesterday my daughter lets me know that her teacher found lice on another students' head. My daughter told her teacher she had lice but it was treated and she no longer has it and she questioned my daughter as to why they were not notified. When my daughter told me this news I was furious because I sent the principal an email literally the day I found lice in my hair so apparently he never discussed this issue with staff. I decided to directly send my daughter's teacher an email letting her know that we did in fact notify the principal and forwarded that email as proof. I'm not sure why the principal wouldn't communicate such important information to his staff. Additionally, I sent an email in the beginning of the school year asking why they always block off one side of the parking structure. I advised him the the parking lot gets filled when parents pick their kids up from the after school program. He stated that the cones are normally removed by 4pm and I told him NO they are not! He said he would make sure they are but till this day everything remains the same so parents end up having to park in the red zone and parking gets so tight that you can practically hit other cars. This is so upsetting that none of my concerns have been addressed and let me say these are not super big requests!! These are issues that affect EVERYONE! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
