As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My daughter transferred to this school last fall and we are very happy with the school so far. She likes the block scheduling because she no longer feels overwhelmed with too much homework at night. She can now concentrate on her four classes and she has all A's. The staff has all been wonderful and the principal has answered me quickly if I had a question. My daughter has said that some kids talk about drugs at school but they are not using them in the classroom or on the bus as other reviewers have stated. Every school in the country has to deal with drugs - it is our job as a parent to teach them to stay away from them. We had problems at our last school on the East coast as well - I don't believe any area is immune to that epidemic. Overall, we are happy that we choose Liberty High school for our daughter! Open Quote Do not send your child here if he/she has special needs. The teachers give a lot of meaningless worksheets, the Ceramics teacher is a bully, and the Assistant Principal does not care about concern of parents who have a child with special needs. I wish I would have enrolled my daughter at Raymond Kellis High School. Close Quote

Open Quote This school is terrible and getting worse. A new principle came on board a few years ago and it has been down hill ever since. The Vice Principle and Principle support those connected with the athletic department which includes the players, coaches and anyone that is connected following their own set of rules set just for them. Even if the player sleeps through class or is absent he will pass. So it depends on your point of view. Your child will have it easy if they play a sport but will not learn. If you child does not play sport they will be ignored or worse. There is no tolerance for kids who don't fit their mold. I have 2 kids one involved in sports and one very creative and artistic so I have experienced both. Some of the male teachers borderline on bullying in my opinion. There are some very good teachers and both my kids have been lucky enough to have at least one every year they have been there. The office staff and the majority of guidance counselors are great. Regarding drugs it is like everything else it will depend on the student how they manage it when brought to their attention. This will be our last year there. If the same principle is there next year we will ask for a variance to Sunrise. Close Quote

Open Quote My son attends Liberty he has been talking about kids smoking weed on the bus. I have heard stories about other drug use on and off the campus. The football program is great but obviously one sided and run by the parents of the booster club. Drug policy is not taken seriously as kids caught with drugs can still play. I was under the impression there was a zero tolerance policy. I have always told my son hard work pays off, I had to let him know I was wrong. If your parents are involved and complain enough you will have all the field time you can handle. The school seems okay not so sure about the academic excellence they are feeding. I guess time will tell. Close Quote

Open Quote My son goes to Liberty High and I've been getting bad news from him lately. He says many kids have been suspended for over a week for drug use in the bathrooms and fights during schools. My wife and I thought it would be a great school since it's not as old as some of the other schools in the district, but maybe we were wrong. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
