As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Mesa Public Schools is by far the most incompetent cluster of staffing I've ever encountered. Their teams negligence led to my child being left outside by herself wandering around . My daughter was put on a school bus and dropped of near a busy street with no adult in sight. My six your old was outside by herself she wasn’t even supposed to be on the bus !!!!!
Mesa Public Schools did not even catch their mistake. It took Daisy's after school care to call me 30 mins after she was already supposed to be there for me to be notified I then had to call the school and find out she was put on the school bus!!!! when I talked to the front office they said they do not let kindergartens out without their parents outside. I knew deep down they did as they couldn't tell me where she was. I left work and got home to see if she was in-front of the door and she wasn't went around to see if she was at the playground and she wasn't. After about 7 mins of looking around my neighborhood I called the police ( her school) still had me on hold. And I got a call that daisy was up at my apartment complex's office saying a stranger brought her up front.
I just can't believe this happened. So many people had an opportunity to stop this. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
