However, the school's diverse student population and higher percentage of low-income students may present unique challenges that require targeted interventions and support to ensure equitable educational opportunities for all students.

As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My child has been at Crismon for 6 years. Last year we received a new principal who's priorities are not the students. She has compromised the safety and education of the students on several occasions and she lacks interpersonal and leadership skills. The teachers are wonderful and work hard for the students. We've chose to leave Crismon after seeing first hand the downward direction that it's headed. Close Quote

Open Quote My 3 kids have attended for the last 3 years. Decent school facility, but where’s it going? Many of the changes over the last 2 years haven’t been for the best. Class sizes have increased, median house price reduced and we’ve see the overall educational experience slipping. The new principal is trying, but it will be an uphill battle. Close Quote

Open Quote My children have attended Crismon Elementary for 5 years. The teachers have been educated, professional teachers who my children have adored. The student population of the school has changed over the past 2 years and become an unruly, aggressive student body that bullies other students. The class sizes have grown rapidly to an average of 34 students per classroom which is unacceptable for meaningful learning to occur. I would not recommend this school at its current state. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
