Open Quote My step daughter attends Piggott elementary and I have never seen a school so disorganized and lacking in education! Looking at the test scores and overall rating of this school it is in need some major restructuring! My daughters went to Concord Elementary school in paducah Ky, You might want to look at our test scores. Schools should be be growing and increasing in all areas especially test scores! Piggott has termendously been falling faster and faster! What is the problem And there has to be a solution! These kids need to have the chance to become something in life and at the rate of this school they have no chance at all. I have been to this school I have delt with 2 abc school teachers and 2 kindergarten teachers and I was not impressed by any aspect of this school. My step daughter was in abc school 2 years and kindergarten 2 years. She will be advancing to 1st grade in August and she is not even close to being prepared for it. I do understand as a parent that it is our job to push our children and make them who they are not the school. As a school you should be worried about the lack of education each child is receiving. I truly hope you read my Email and choose to help these children and not over look them. They have been overlooked for many years now. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
