Open Quote BECAUSE OF A COLORFUL PAST MY DAUGHTER AND I HAVE HAD TO EXPLORE MANY SCHOOLS IN WI SHE IS A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD AND I HAD ABOUT GIVEN UP ON PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND WAS VEERY CLOSE TO HOME SCHOOLING HER AS NO ONE EVEN TRIED TO UNDERSTAND HER...IT WAS VERY OBVIOUS THAT I WAS STRESSED OUT ABOUT SCHOOL IN GENERAL AND GETTING THE HELP SHE NEDDED WHEN I MOVED HERE WITH HER IN JUNE.HER FATHER VERY SERIOUSLY ABUSED HER AND HAS PUT US INTO HIDING FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EVER SEE HER AGAIN INCLUDING EVEN AFTER SHE IS 18 SHE IS FINE WITH THAT AND ALL BUT NEVER HAD FRIENDS AFTER THAT AND IT IS EXTREMLY DIFFICULT TO RAISE A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD ALONE AND NOT BE HEARD BY THE COMMUNITY OR MOST SERIOUSLY THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM.SO WHEN I CAME TO SPOONER I WENT THRU THE SAME ORDEAL WE ALWAYS DO WHEN WE ARRIVE SOMEWHERE NEW AND FROM THE START THE PRINCIPAL THE GUIDANCE COUNSLER THE OFFICE STAFF AND THE POLICE DEPARTMENT ASSURED ME THAT THEY WOULD MAKE ME CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT SCHOOLS AND THAT THEY WOULD MAKE SURE MY DAUGHTER WOULD BE SAFE AND GROW AND LOVE LEARNING AGAIN AND SHE WOULD HAVE HER NEEDS MET...APPREHENSIVLY I SENT HER TO SCHOOL MANY TEARS ALONG THE WAY BUT TO DATE SHE IS GETTING ALL A'S SHE LOVES HER TEACHERS THEY ARE MEETING ALL OF HER NEEDS AND MINE AND SHE IS ACTUALLY ONE OF THE POPULAR KIDS IN HER GRADE...THAT MAY NOT MEAN TO ALOT BUT TO ME IT IS HHHHHHUUUGGGGGGEEEEEE!!!!!IAM GREETED WITH A SMILE BY THE STAFF WHEN I COME INTO THE SCHOOL I AM NEVER SCARED ANYMORE FOR HER WELL BEING SHE IS ACTUALLY LEARNING SHE WEARS GLASSES AND WAS SCARED TO HAVE THEM IN FEAR SHE WOULD GET TEASED THEY TEASE HER WHEN SHE DOESNT WEAR THEM FRIENDLY THOUGH SAYING SHE LOOKS SO DIFFERENT...IF THIS SCHOOLS RATING DOESNT GO UP ON HERE I WILL BE VERY SAD AS SHE ALSO IS IN 4H UNHEARD OF FOR HER BEFORE THIS YEAR!!!!!
