Open Quote Revolving door administration has no experience, for example, they had no protocol for lock downs resulting in terrified children when a real lock down was needed. Administration does not do background checks for all staff working with children, when I volunteered on a weekly basis I had to request one, and I was taking preschoolers to the restroom! Little regard for safety, when I found the backdoor unlocked in the middle of the school day, I approached the director and was rudely told "nothing has happened yet!" Administration is more focused on growing the struggling school instead of actually running it on a daily basis. Very little attention is paid to academics, effective teachers do not last long. School uses a questionable curriculum called Education For Life, created by a non educator named J Donald Waters, aka Swami Kriyananda. I suggest potential families research this man as well as Ananda (group that funds this school) thoroughly. Most, if not all, staff and school board members belong to this group. My partner and I regret ever sending our child here, we really don't think they have any business running a school. Close Quote

Open Quote This beautiful school is full of happy children who love learning. The teachers and administrators love the children and work to help them master them selves rather than operating from a place of control. I’ve never found a school do this so successfully! The children learn to be the master of themselves through the daily practice of yoga and meditation. This calm, loving, joyful school is a place my children and I are glad we found. Close Quote

Open Quote The school is a good place for preschool and whatever class Teacher Debbie teaches. For ages above preschoo and Teacher Debbie's class, look elsewhere. The lack of solid academic and social support in the upper classes make it clear that this school is still going through a painful growth process. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
