Open Quote Hi,
Administration here! We really try to have good communication but sometimes can be less than perfect with a family or two. We are always open to suggestions. The methods of communication we use are timely monthly newsletters, a web site (check it out at GRmontessori.com), written notices in the "go home" folders, messages on the computer upon check-in or check-out, emails, and of course face to face communication. Someone is always in the office from 8:30-5:30 (even during the lunch time). Actually attendance at parents meetings this year (except for one) were well attended. Our fundraising efforts are humble (entertainment books in September, Equal Exchange chocolate and gifts in November, and an auction in the spring). Total we typically clear about $4,000 which is used directly on the children. We appreciate the efforts put forth by all our families. We can only improve if we are given feedback and ideas from others. We strive to do our best!

Open Quote The school is bright and clean. The playground is good and in the process of becoming great. The teachers for the most part are a joy. A few of the older teachers are a bit gruff but over all good hearted & kind. The Montessori Method is taught well. And the classrooms are set up in a true Montessori fashion.

The communication from office to parents could be stronger. But parent attendance at
school function & parent guild meetings is laughable. No one shows up.
The lack of parent involvement is shocking. Without parent support, the school will
have a difficult time fundraising.

We love the school, love the teachers and plan on a long term stay. Would love to see
other parents get involved.

If you want a strong Montessori School then please give Green River Montessori a chance. Your child will Thank You for it. And afterall, isn't that what it is all about? The kids? Close Quote

Open Quote The school has a clean facility and the individual teachers display care and patience with the children. The rates are slightly above average but reasonable. The downside of having your child attend this school is having to deal with an unorganized and out of touch administration. Keep multiple copies of all your payments because they will consistently overbill you. They have arcane methods of communication and an lack of communication skills. Their fundraising is unorganized and school events are poorly communicated. I will keep my kids in this school because of the safe environment, and good instruction - but just have patience in dealing with administration Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
