Billings Middle School

They are churning out well rounded students for High School and beyond.

Ugh! A horrible experience for our child and our family. Lots of big talk, very little follow-through. If you are considering this school MAKE SURE YOU TALK TO FAMILIES WHO LEFT (and there are many). Learning Differences are NOT their specialty, but Social Differences are. It may be the perfect place for your child, but you need to go in with eyes wide open (alas, ours weren't). Way too much money spent on way too little support for our child. After one year, we held ours back and repeated /erased our Billing error.

Billings Middle School is a great fit for our son! Teachers helped our shy boy through a rocky transition to 6th grade and not only boosted his academic confidence but got him interested in team sports and volunteer work. Now in 7th grade, he is immersed in an encouraging and challenging curriculum. My husband and I joke that we wish we could go back to middle school at Billings.

We really love Billings! The curriculum, trips and faculty are of the highest caliber and students that graduate Billings seem confident, well-rounded and enthusiastic about the world. Our eldest went there and we have a child that is hoping to enter Billings soon.

Our middle child chose a different middle school experience - and this is really the best advice I can give to ANY parent of any pre-teen....pick the school that is the right fit for YOU and your CHILD.

Billings is a place for children to build independence, learn about themselves and redefine their relationships with friends, family and the world around them. This school is NOT the place for someone who wants to actively manage their child's social and academic life on a daily basis.

Think about your lifetime goals for your child. Billings is a place to focus on long-term healthy emotional relationships, a life-long love of learning and empowerment. This school would get 6 stars for what it is - if it is a good fit for your family then you will have a terrific experience.

A very disappointing, very poorly run, very expensive school. Curriculum is weak. Many teachers don't seem to have the basic teaching skills you'd expect from even a public school. There doesn't seem to be any communication between teachers or staff, even though this is one of their main marketing points. Communication with parents is non-existent. A lot of bullying and rudeness that the school does nothing about. A truly terrible experience.
