As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I am unsure of this school having an honest and genuine review.
The bully policy seems to be getting out of hand recently. From what I have heard, the relationship between student and teacher is suffering, where the teachers are using certain students and field trips as scapegoats to justify their abusive behavior. I have heard that students who could not afford to pay for a $15 field trip were sent to a room where they were not allowed to speak to each other. They knew of friends who went to the field trip because they announced over the intercom how much fun they were having and how the others should have paid the $15 to attend this event. I think it is cruel to announce such things to a group of children who didn't have the choice to attend, they do not have jobs, and no one deserves to be punished for that, not even if it is a once a year event, this does not excuse the treatment of these students! I’m not happy with the teachers who are trying to shame and label children as having a “disability”, when their only goal is to force these students into a revenue generating program known as an IEP! I don’t appreciate the fact that my brother and his friends work hard on their homework, hand it to the teacher, only to be told that it is not good enough. That is okay, no one is perfect and you do not have to like everyone’s work, but when they tell you they will try harder, DON’T EVER say the words, “I don’t believe you”. YOU’RE A TEACHER!!!!!! IT IS YOUR JOB TO HELP THESE STUDENTS!!!! These are humans, not punching bags, not cattle; they sit in your classroom all day, so by DEFAULT they are not in the wrong, by DEFAULT they DO have a good attitude, they ARE hardworking, and the students are NOT the problem, so, Tahoma Middle School, I suggest realizing that there is a problem, it is shameful that certain teachers make children feel as though they are at fault, that they are the problem. Tahoma Middle School, I don’t want to see anymore bullying coming from your staff!!!!!!! Close Quote

Open Quote Tahoma Middle School is a very nice school. One main goal that this school has is to be completely bully-free, and no acceptions are made for bullies. This school has a very safe environment, also. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
