Open Quote My child will be attending the K4 program starting next school year. I have visited several other religion affiliated private schools in the area, and this was the big winner. Fortunately, it also happens to be located around the corner from our home.
Big things I noticed that separated it from other schools were educational materials, student population and general feel of the environment. Our search for a private school was limited only to religious back private schools due to the high cost of the Non-secular schools in our area. We are a church going family but church light. We don't want our child in an atmosphere of church heavy and education light, which was the impression that several of the other local schools gave.

Unlike other schools we looked at, Gloria Dai has computers in the classroom in addition to a full computer lab. The children attend an actual science and social studies program.

While I understand that abeka is a major education platform used by religious based schools, which Gloria Dai also lists as part of the curriculum, they also use publishers that you would see at a public school, I.E. Megraw-Hill and Princeton-Hall.

As a note to the tour given of the school, it is always great when the guide can answer all questions and when referring to the computer lab, doesn’t call them “the big machines”.(Won't say where that was, but they know who they are)

In closing, my family is looking forward to joining the Gloria Dai community next year and for several years to come. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
