As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school has been nothing short of wonderful! This is the first year my kids have gone to public school. (1st grader, 2nd grader and 4th) We had previously homeschooled. Each child received exactly what they needed. My one child struggled tremendously with reading and is now on grade level. (If you only knew the struggles!) I cannot tell you what a relief that is to this mamma's heart. Each child met such wonderful kids here and the teachers are stellar! I was able to volunteer at times, and what I saw from inside the school was exactly the results I was getting from my kids. The teachers are excellent in their academic impartation but the thing that impressed me the most, was the level of care my kids received. This comes straight from the head down! Ms Bevans, the principle is such a gift to every family here. She is supportive to this community, has such a heart for the kids and genuinely loves being here. Again, I could go on and on. Well done Henderson Elementary, you have far exceeded our expectations. Close Quote

Open Quote The teachers at this school are amazing! If you can get over the principal's need to be an uber control freak, and the ridiculous rules she sets, you will love having your children there. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
