As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I am so thankful that my children are going to Cedar Lane. Mr. Dallas was voted Principal of the year last yr. (2011-2012) You can defiantly tell that his professionalism and dedication toward education has a strong effect on his team = the teachers, staff, students and parents. His "can do" attitude encourages all of us to do our best.

My husband and I both graduated with honors from college, so academics are very important to us. We both have been impressed with the curriculum and how it is taught. We appreciate the many projects incorporated within Science, Math, Reading and Social Studies. The students not only study the information they apply it.

This is wonderful because the students retain the information! Students who memorize forget the most important facts days after the test.

Thank you, Mr. Dallas, and your teachers who are doing an incredible job! Hats off! Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter attended cedar lane for three years. My husband and I put our faith in the school and there special needs program. The program at cedar lane caused so much damage to our daughter she wanted to commit suicide by age 5. I am so happy we took her out of the school I should have done so sooner. Close Quote

Open Quote Cedar Lane is a wonderful school! Our children have been attending the school for three yrs. The staff is dedicated toward helping the students learn the information in a way that they remember it. I am always impressed on how the teachers work together to take a specific topic and intertwine it within other classes.

The principal and teachers make a great team. I think this is why we have so many parents who want to get involved and support the school.

We are also very thankful to have our children go to a school that has really neat math and reading programs. This is my favorite part of Cedar Lane....the commitment towards these two topics.

Thank you Cedar Lane! Keep up the great work! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
