Open Quote Former founding parent. The 4th grade was our last straw. Teachers did not communicate well with parents or relate well with students. Principal needs to be replaced. Once we let it be known we were leaving we were treated like mud. Mind you we raised thousands of dollars and gave a lot of our time to the school. The school has a good program but it is administered in a harsh way. Too intense to the point that kids are memorizing it, but not comprehending it. A lot of the work was high school level and even some of the way they wanted them to write a report was almost college level. Several times it was a waste of time. We lost great teachers due to the ultra micro managing style of the principal. Mention the principal's name in the diocese and either a negative comment is made or they can't help but have a twitch in the face. He has anger issues and it has spilled over into the classroom making the kids fear him. JB - if you really want the school to succeed, either you change for the better or leave to make it a better place. Close Quote

Open Quote I have a similar story! I had my 2nd grade daughter at a neighborhood pool last summer. She was stopping the water on one of the fountains with her hands and called out to me to watch her. She threw her hands up in the air, and as the water shot up, she exclaimed, "I'm Poseidon!" I beamed with pride! Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter attends this school and I am writing this review solely because of something I witnessed at one of her sports practices. Her coach wanted to play a game during practice and asked all the kids to pick a country they wanted to be. Kids were shouting out Missouri! Texas! Florida! My daughter shouted Bolivia! No wait! Ivory Coast! Which sadly, I myself didn't realize was a country. I could see the disappointment on the coach's face, then the relief when he finally heard someone name an actual country. I already knew that my decision to choose this school was worth all the sacrifices. That moment simply reinforced it. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
