Open Quote We chose FWCD for our family because of the attention to the well-roundedness of the education, the focus on the core values, and the commitment and professionalism of the faculty and administration. We have three children that began in Kindergarten and we hope to see all three graduate from FWCD.

Lower School is an exceptional experience led by an amazing Division Head, Shari Lincoln. With her experience as an administrator and teacher in both the Middle and Lower School the transition for each of our children has been seemless. In Middle School the experience continues to be very child centered. As promised, middle school faculty and administration "know your child" and will be there to help them through these very transformational years. The overnight class trips and advisory system are highlights of this program.

Our oldest is now in Upper School and we have continued to be amazed and so pleased with our daughter's indepenence and organization. Having the website with weekly updates and a real-time calendar for our daughter's schedule and class rotations has been so helpful. Teacher comments on line as well as the accessiblity of faculty not only for our regular parent teacher conferences but also via email has helped us stay connected.

I hear parents each year complain that tuition has gone up again! Tell me something that doesn't cost more each year. Our FWCD monthly tuition payment is the largest bill we have and the one we pay happily. FWCD is the best investment we can make with returns that will last for our children's lifetimes. Open Quote The lower school has been going through many changes, most are not good. All are driven by the lower school headmaster. She is scaring off many parents and a lot of the teachers have left. As a parent, I am very concerned about it. I fear to report what is going on, as she might take that against my child. We are looking forward to 5th grade and leaving the middle school. So sad!!! About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
