As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This is a great school. It has continued to be a strong leader among Tennessee schools. It has a safe and structured environment and decisions are made in the best educational interest of each student. Teachers spend countless hours of their own time sponsoring extra curricular activities. Students are extremely respectful and care about each other and parents are supportive. Close Quote

Open Quote This school is pretty bad in my opinion. It is like a dictatorship; we have to tuck in our JACKETS! Yes, our jackets have to be tucked in! The teachers I have are (all but two of them) are horrible. If they stopped worrying about wearing belts and tucking in our clothes, they might actually bond with us and make it a fun environment! Another thing about the belts is: if you think it's no big deal, think about how a considerable amount of students have had detention, in school suspension, etc. just for not tucking in our shirts, jackets, or wearing belts! They blow things way out of proportion!

Another complaint is the food - everyone I know complains about the food. It is not hand made and tastes terrible. It is pretty sad how they actually have to put a "Just because it looks bad doesn't mean it tastes bad" sign up and "Keep rude comments to yourself" signs along with it in the cafeteria. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
