As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Parent of Three. My students are entering Connections Academy Johnson County after having gone to Tennessee Connection's Academy whose contract was unfortunately not renewed by Robinson County Schools. In contrast to what multiple websites say about Tennessee connection's Academy, my students scored higher on the state testing by a larger margin after attending Tennessee connections Academy without having to hammer a month of repetition mock state tests that the traditional schools are known for before the state testing. Our kids just knew the material. Our 2nd grader who was reading before kindergarten, endured the switching of 7 different teachers in her homeroom class at Christiana before February 2020 with different rules each time. I found her in the hall crying when the school said they lost her and then found her where she was suppose to go when the kast teacher from a week ago instructed her to be. They made it her fault. Then March covid 19 and defunct outdated 32 gb tablets with dead battery and loose power connections called laptops by the school and no plsn that worked. Ughh! After lack of communication from administration, teachers and staff in traditional schoolsd rather dropping the ball to push the kids through school like a Few County schools do (Ours) they were required to do credit recovery at Connections Academy so that they may have the credits for the classes that they were not passed in the brick and mortar schools. Now one of my students is on their way to college thanks to Tennessee Connections Academy. My now 4th grader IN THE 99 Percentile ranks 7th grade Math and 9th grade English. They are gifted Talented. 4th grader also has applied membership to MENSA. Connections Academy is more organized than and connected with parents than any in person school. My students will return to brick and mortar schools with proven study skills that work more prepared and organized than todays traditional schools fall short of doing. Parents and students are given the resources together to get what they put into it. Live one on one with the educators. I know what the students are being taught, and if any agendas are being pushed. $8000 - $10,000 per student of our tax money better spent here than at the past schools( money mills). Sounds to good to be true??? I'm overwhelmed with satisfaction from Connections. My only agenda is giving my kids a better education. BTW they have a social life and are free to go to either school now. I am copying and pasting my opinion for repost elsewhere. Thankyou Connections Academy Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
