Open Quote Oquinn and Porder Gaud are not the schools they used to be . They no longer feel they need to get parents opinions on anything even in regards to things directly impacting their own children. There is no transparency when it comes to tuition and money raised for school. Where does all that money go? Also they had very serious incidents over the yrs involving staff members so I advise you research their history . Also there curriculum is based on Indoctrinating our children with propaganda , critical race theory , transgenderism and have used teaching resources such as flocabulary . Watch some of the videos. They do not except medical waivers from your child’s pediatrician and they go against decisions made by the SC Department of Education and parents concerns Close Quote

Open Quote We were not impressed by the unhelpful and assuming attitude at O’quinn when we applied to their program. We have an academically advanced child and wanted to speak directly with the head of the school or director of admissions to see if O’quinn would be a good fit for our child. When we emailed and called to request additional information, they did not get back to us in a timely fashion. We then came to the school one day to see if we could talk with the director of admissions. We could see that she was sitting at her desk, but instead of speaking with us, she sent the secretary out to tell us that admission decisions would be made in two weeks. I had to tell them that we were not looking for an admission decision, we were looking to make a decision between O’quinn and Ashley Hall and wanted more information. We were appalled by the assumption and lack of helpfulness, and so we immediately withdrew our application, as O’quinn clearly was not the school that we would choose for our child. We have been extremely happy and impressed by Ashley Hall and would highly recommend them. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
