As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote As a parent, when you request interaction from school staff (whether it be a teacher or the principal) you expect a response. I had a meeting to express concerns about my child's education with the principal, only to have it cancelled only hours before the time of the meeting. I was told, not by the principal but by the staff member she had call me to cancel, that I would hear back to reschedule. Never happened. Have left voicemail with my child's teacher as well as notes and have received no response. My child may be one of many to the staff members at Broad River, but NOT to me. It has made me regret ever moving to this district. Avoid this school if at all possible. Close Quote

Open Quote Its as if the school funded/free meal is first come first serve. A higher paid friend with same amount of children and in school were receiving free meals while we couldnt understand why we were on "reduced meals." The school states that they are state funded on numerous sites and some of the faculty is stating that they are not. We were hassled the year prior for making or by name brand of the school supply list til it was met as if our child was not going to receive an education til they got "stuff." My son was recommended held back a grade by mother due to standards of another school. After doing so, it was apparent he did not need to be held back as he was the "teachers helper" and did not receive the education as the other students. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
