After over 10 years at Sewickley Academy as a parent, I would not recommend this school. The school promotes mediocrity and for the most part, faculty and staff are generally uncaring (although there are a few really great teachers). It is generally not an education worth the tuition and additional expenses.I feel that the Senior School does not adequately prepare the kids for college. The block scheduling infuses way too much free time for the students and there is a lack of class electives. Virtually no communication with parents, students don't know where they stand academically and there is no online grading system. Look for alternative choices. Close Quote

Teachers and education inferior to that provided within nearby public schools. Administration not interested in listening to parent concerns. Students in grade 6 and above are given too much free time in which they can roam the school freely causing additional potential for problematic situations. No security at the school entrances.
