Open Quote I want to provide a counterpoint since this sight has only one review and it happens to be negative. My children have thrived and flourished at the New School. The teachers students and parents are wonderful. The New School not only provides great academics but maybe even more importantly teaches children to socialize be peaceful respect other cultures and religions and respect the environment. I cant imagine my children at another institution. The benefits mentioned above in my opinion just would never be met at other schools especially public schools with their limited resources and much more regimented atmosphere Close Quote

Open Quote Really has gone down hill. Pulled both of my kids. They miss their friends, but have done wonderfully at their new school. My son was tested at a year below when he left. Six weeks later he was a year above. Talking to other parents that have left, they all have similar experiences. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
