As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote If you would like your child to be treated with respect and not humiliated or bullied by teachers DO NOT send your child here. There are teachers in the Scott Elementary School who feel the need to embarrass children in front of their peers in class and to lay their hands on children when frustrated over non- compliance.

Forget the administration-- Principal does not address issues appropriately for fear of union retaliation from teachers. Children hurt on playground getting concussions with no teacher being able to state what happened. Children being bullied in bathrooms and teachers stating "if I do not see it for myself it is hear say," even when the child told the teacher directly.

Special education-- You can forget that as well!! If your child has any type of ADHD, Asperger's, or any medical problem- make sure you have twenty different types of proof other wise the appropriate accommodation's will not be made for your child. Scott Campus does not like to deal with any children that may have issue's of any kind.
If you are not a personal friend of one of the teachers or go golfing with the principal or a board member you are not important to listen to when voicing concerns over things you have seen, experienced or witnessed directly. Please note this is our experience with the Scott Campus through the District. Don't even know if the superintendent is aware of half of the issues making this school district one of the worst in the area now, when it used to be one of the best. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
