As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I find Liberty High School to be safe. Even though sometimes there is a fight or two, just don't get too involved that you will be in a fight. In my 3 years I have only seen one fight out in the open. Everyone I have met is nice and want to help. The teachers I have had are very involved. The Guidance Councilor I got was a treasure, but I have heard horror story of this other counsellor. The Hon. Chemistry teachers inspired me to become a chemistry teacher. I would definitely say, you get what you put into it. I see a lot of negative comments, but I have overall had a good experience.I also had good learning opportunities like the school-to-work program to St.Luke's Hospital. Also, I made good friends and would definitely recommend. Close Quote

Open Quote The school itself is somewhat clean and well-kept, but oftentimes the bathrooms could be out of paper towels, toilet paper, and soap for weeks. The student body is okay. Many of them are failures (60), and just about everyone is rude. The hallways and overpasses, especially the overpasses, are very crowded and probably dangerous. Some of the teachers are great, but many are just mediocre and only teach from the outdated textbook or have very boring, uninvolved lesson plans. A few of my current teachers are mediocre and borderline very bad. For example, one of them strictly teaches from the book. Most of the class is failing because of her lazy teaching style. Also, I believe the teachers have an unfair system. Somebody I know is failing most of her classes, but is still recommended for all Honors, whereas I’ve never failed any and am still recommended for just Advanced. Another issue with this school is the rest of the staff, other than the teachers. The nurses are very rude and tend to send students away very often. The officers are generally nice. My guidance counselor is terrible, I’ve heard bad things about a few other ones too. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
