Open Quote Useful? Not sure, "useful" being relevant only according to what information the person happens to be looking for. Isn't that the problem; that the only information available about schools has to do with state report cards and performance levels, academically? What about the heart? What about the soul? What about the kindness, care, compassion? These elements to school life do not seem to exist, no matter where I send my children, public school or charter. I give RPA a "poor" rating not due to its performance level, but for its false claims of being some kind of entity above the rest in this mess we call "the school system." I can honestly say that I've never encountered a school that went above and beyond to claim excellence from a humanitarian viewpoint the way this school does, only to have the promise fall completely flat. This school is still run by the type of administrators who will band together, gang up on you when you indicate feelings of there being a problem, and chase you out. Make no mistake. Your child can either deal with whatever garbage they're issued by whichever crabby individual feels like issuing it, or your child can get the heck out. Or you can get the heck out. They might even ban you for life from every campus in the district, depending on the way you deal with frustration. Make no mistake, this is not the type of charter school that goes above and beyond to meet you anywhere in the middle. Nay, it is more a place to put wild egos on display and to high five each other, those in the "in" crowd. There are god complexes at work here. I'm disappointed in this school. They really ought not be quoting Ghandi if they feel infallible. I really don't think Ghandi was into that. Good luck out there. The school system can really be a mess for some of us parents, can't it? In the words of Bunny Bennett "just keep smiling and riding that wave." Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
