Middle Schools in Ponca City

The Ponca City school district in Oklahoma is home to two middle schools: Ponca City West Middle School and Ponca City East Middle School. Both schools serve students in grades 6-8 and appear to be relatively average-performing institutions within the Ponca City district and the state of Oklahoma.

Academically, the two middle schools struggle, with proficiency rates in English Language Arts and Math below the state average. Ponca City West Middle School has 6th grade ELA and Math proficiency rates of 23% and 20% respectively, compared to the state averages of 26% and 23%. Ponca City East Middle School fares even worse, with 8th grade ELA and Science proficiency rates of 15% and 23%, compared to the state averages of 20% and 35%.
