Open Quote We felt very excited to have the opportunity to start at St. James the Greater School. I had 3 children attend St. James the Greater School and I had high expectations. It was sadly a very negative experience for all three of them. Teachers were unable to discipline students when necessary. The bullying was also out of hand. This seems inexcusable for a private CHRISTIAN school where kindness should be encouraged. I would not recommend St. James the Greater school. Close Quote

Open Quote I am thrilled with the education my 2 school-age daughters are receiving at Saint James School. The academics are rigorous and the teachers are top-notch. My daughters feel respected and liked by their teachers. My children are gathering all of the necessary knowledge they need to succeed in life and are also getting their religious and spiritual needs met as well. My daughters have many friends and enjoy the American Heritage Girls program, too. They find the “specials” classes especially satisfying—computers, physical education, music, art, library, and Spanish! Close Quote

Open Quote I have had four children attend St. James School, it is the reason why we moved to White Oak from out of state! They have recieved a wonderful education, and are very well prepared for the rigorous high school classes they take. The teachers and staff are caring and encouraging to all students to do their best.
I am proud to be a part of the St. James Community! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
