Open Quote This school has promise. A few faculty members are genuinely gifted and well meaning. The problem lies at the top. The current Head of School is remarkably short-sighted and stringent for a progressive school. Frankly, he doesn’t even seem to like kids. None of this is immediately evident. His contemplative demeanor can easily give the opposite impression. Despite his incompetence, it is conceivable that there are enough elements that work to give a child a somewhat fulfilling experience. At 30-40 grand a year per child, though, in a city replete with superior options, this is a strange risk to take. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
