As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This is some of the worst leadership and administration I have ever experienced. The principal and Vice Principal try to bully the parents let alone the kids, it’s just laughable, or found it laughable. The academics are horrid! All they do is study those ridiculous nys tests that no one else in the country, or even private schools care about. The teachers don’t even give homework. I watched me kids get dumber the few years they were there. The vice Principal, I think it was Janice, had to do the most incompetent human being I ever met in my life. Her answer to everything was “get your kid on drugs.” Where’s her medical degree from?? Right. What I found most deplorable…we had the means to get our kids out, and after a few letters and legal counsel retention they knew to not f with us. But what they do is look for the kids who parents do not have the financial means to pivot somewhere else and try to bully them into terrible situations for the child, because he or she may have an LD. This staff does not like to work or do their jobs and cater to the mediocre, classic subpar nyc ps attitude. I told these parents not to let Janice and the rest of those buffoons bully you, they can’t force you into a poor section for tour child. I hope they took my
Advice. Oh, and that social worker should be brought up on child abuse charges - talk about an awful human being - victim shaming and a bully

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
