As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Don't listen to the above person. He is a disgruntled student and is obviously biased. You see, a lot of kids that don't really want to put in the effort decide to go to a magnet school expecting it to be just like normal school only more fun. Then they get there and realize that unlike other Nevada schools you actually have to do something. This school is great. I feel like I learn more in a day here than I did all year in public school. People want to learn and teachers know what they are doing. Don't let one disgruntled kid make this school look bad. It is rated number one 1 Nevada for a reason. If you don't want to put in the work then go to a normal public school. Or go to a school like west where everyone gets in, and it is like a public school anyway. A-tech is a serious school, and it is for serious kids that want to get ready for the real world. It is a great school, no matter what any disgruntled kid says. If your going to school in Clark County I highly recommend you attempt to get into one of these schools if you are serious about your education.

Open Quote This school is very tough. Definitely not for a child who has a life apart from school. Ridiculously large homework load and cryptic teachers. The programs are OK for those who like computers and business, but I don't recommend the IT program for anyone. Get into NT! That's where the good teachers are. It is a very small school, but very cliquey. To them, school is a competition and if you don't do well, too bad. I have had problems all school year with homework, teachers, and my peers. I suggest looking into another magnet school, for sure. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
