Open Quote I am also in agreement with the previous review. The school is good and competitive for the students. But, it is not looked upon the same by top tier colleges and universities. Don't care much for the principle, she does not do much to advance the schools name so that the top colleges look favorably at IHA. Close Quote

Open Quote I just had a daughter graduate from IHA with a 3.7 average. She had AP and honor classes. I have a 2nd daughter who is going into high school this year, and for the life of me would not spend the money to repeat the experience.
We had an appointment with the principal Ms. Molloy last year. Not only did she not show up for the appointment, her asst. took the meeting instead, She didn't even have the decency to call and apologize for it. We had asked a honors English teacher to keep us abreast of our daughter's progress, and were told she was too busy and if we wanted to contact her, we could do that. Of course, it was said so professional and with a smile. Let's continue. The honors math teacher has her own daughter in the class. I am not sure how that is okay, but what made it even worse is when the class is taking a test, the teacher leans over daughter's shoulder and says oh come on we went over that last night. The tuition is up to $11300 a year and that doesn't include the computer you must buy through them. I understand they are going with MAC's this year. We had IBM Thinkpads that cost us $2400. As far as expecting scholarships from colleges based on the school.. Don't.... all the girls I spoke to did not receive any more than the girls of equal level from the public high school. About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
