Open Quote Where to begin? Pre k having to explain to my 4 year old about parents in jail and drugs? Or the fact that despite the school being only 3 miles away he was on the bus for 45 minutes each day on the way home being bulllied while the driver did nothing about it? Those were the days he didn’t fall asleep as previously mentioned 45 minutes to go 3 miles! Kindergarten teacher didn’t seem the slightest bit concerned that the amount of homework assigned to a 5 year old some days took an hour! Between reading a book, writing sentences and writing numbers from 1-140 eventually. Oh and the same 45 minute bus ride home for 3 miles! 1st grade transferred him to lower and it was a DREAM!!!! Fantastic teacher, fantastic experience all around! Made the mistake of putting him back this year so his sister could start pre k(why, I don’t know at this school!). This year his teacher has him in 2 different basic skills classes and point blank told me she doesn’t have the time to give him. And honestly my mistake of sending him back to this place is going to have my son failing second grade. This is not to mention how utterly unpleasant every person who you speak with on the phone is. It’s as if the employees even hate it here. The transportation department couldn’t figure out where to pick up my children so they missed the first day of school and almost the second because the driver they have must be a middle township graduate since she couldn’t read addresses. When they are clearly marked on mailboxes and the house! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
