The school spends around $14,000 per student, which is higher than the state average and some nearby schools but lower than others like Milliken Park Elementary ($14,803). Clarmar Elementary also has a higher student-teacher ratio of around 16.5, compared to nearby schools like Milliken Park Elementary (14.9) and Grant Elementary (13.0).

Clarmar Elementary's statewide ranking has steadily declined over the past several years, from 151 out of 488 Nebraska elementary schools in 2014-2015 to 361 out of 459 in 2022-2023, suggesting the school is struggling to keep up with the performance of other schools in the state. Additionally, the school's performance on standardized tests varies significantly by racial subgroup, with its White students ranking 356 out of 385 Nebraska elementary schools, while its low-income students ranked 254 out of 312. These challenges may indicate that Clarmar Elementary is facing significant obstacles in serving its economically disadvantaged student population and addressing the unique needs of its diverse learners.

As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I used to go to this school, my last year was my 3rd grade year in 2014! It was the best school out of the 3 school's I've been to. I wish I had spent more time making memories there, but I took a few with me. I'll be stopping by sometime to visit my old teachers and just to remember the time I had at the school. Miss it! About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
