As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This has been a great experience for my family. Most of the here reviews are right. The teachers, principal Dr. Barnes, counselor Mrs. Bender are really great and have always helped. Policy and procedure? They are on top of it. I have only heard from a few that don't like it because they will actually expel students who don't know how to behave. It is nice to have a school with standards. My only concern is the loss of school SRO officer Mr. Davies. He was at everything and knew what was going on too. I don't know the new one but I don't think they should change officers if it is working well. Close Quote

Open Quote My child is leaving the 8th grade in a few days and is so prepared for high school. We considered home school three years ago, thank goodness we made the decision to go to Newbridge. They are serious about school and serious about getting our kids ready for high school. When they call home about issues, they mean business. I was always able to stand behind the decisions of the principal and teachers. We love Newbridge! Close Quote

Open Quote I had to meet with the principal Dr. Barnes today. He really showed he card. He was a professional and knowledgeable about issues at his school. He connected me to counselor Mrs. Binder who too was great. I am very pleased with the help and time given to me as a parent. Close Quote

Open Quote oh New Bridge.....i miss you now....i used to fear your haunted hallways, no lockers, and teacher always with another assignment, always pushing us to do more....but seriously, the best teachers I had were at New Bridge. The best science teacher I ever had Mrs. Anderson, I learned more from her than anyone! Dr. Barnes and Mrs. Buckner are a dynamic principal and assistant duo! They actually care and want you to learn! New Bridge has a lot of rules, but you will thank them later, great teachers! (did anyone else get after school detention for dress code violations? Watch out- they'll get you for two-toned shoes. HAHA)

Great teachers and staff, can't say it enough. My closest friends today in high school were made at New Bridge. Close Quote

Open Quote We've lived all over and are grateful to have found a school like New Bridge. Our son has been there for a year and will start 7th grade soon. The principal and teachers have high standards for the students and themselves. Everything they do is top notch. In the 6th grade Mr. Garichten, Mrs. Andrews, and Mrs. Lapham were great last year. I am sad to hear Mrs. Helt isnt with 7th grade this year. If we didnt get in the lottery, we would have moved next to the school. Close Quote

Open Quote I am a parent and rate this school as #1 as compared to the other district schools and the base schools. It starts with the teachers. They know and love what they teach. They are really serious about it. We only know the 6th grade teachers- but what we know is great. Mr. Gericten and Ms St Andrews and the whole team are doing a great job. Dr. Barnes is the new principal and he and the assistant Ms. Norris keep discipline in line. There is no better place. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
