As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote When we first researched Clear Creek in 2007,we were trying to determine if we were going to send them to private school or not, until we were able to move out of the area. Unfortunately, the housing market crashed and we could not sell our house. We were initially impressed with Clear Creek, their scores, their tenured teaching staff and their principal Dr. Ritchie, and were comfortable with letting them transition there for Kindergarten, as it was one of the "better" elementary schools in CMS. However, upon entering kindergarten, we found that the school changed and Dr. Ritchie left. They lack modern day technology that places the students behind. The teachers are hit/or miss now, as several of the "tenured" teachers that impressed us, have gone. The classroom sizes are large (as with most CMS schools) and it seems that the focus is more on the kids who are behind, and not too much on those who are at or above grade level. It seems that I had to really be visible in order to get my child what was needed and not become behind. I must say the best teacher so far was the 1st grade teacher, Ms. Myles (now also gone), who was Excellent!!!!! Unfortunately, we are looking at moving our child again, because several other changes are occurring. As a historical staple in the community, I hope that Clear Creek has a chance to redeem itself soon. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
