New City School is a joke. It is not academically challenging. Our child could never focus due to the ever changing and numerous Multiple Intelligence (MI) centers that sound great but have nothing to do with learning. Friends were hard to make due to the social grouping that forms to make your child feel different. There is no discipline at all. And worst of all, our child loves to act, sing, and has a vivid imagination. Yet such MI talents were unable to be used to further the learning. Forget the MI, focus on real learning strategies, and introduce some discipline so kids learn to respect each other. We waited too long to pull our child out of New City and now everything is great. Stay away from New City School! Close Quote
